About the Reading Program

Our class will be participating in the USPBL Reading Program, which is an incentive driven reading program of the United Shore Professional Baseball League. The United Shore Professional Baseball League is entering its eighth baseball season at Jimmy John’s Field in Downtown Utica this summer. The USPBL features four teams – the Eastside Diamond Hoppers, the Birmingham Bloomfield Beavers, the Westside Woolly Mammoths, and the Utica Unicorns. Help your child hit a homerun with reading this March is Reading Month and earn a ticket to a Jimmy John’s Field game!

Attached are documents for Read Around the Bases, Book Board Game Minute Tracker, and the Reading Minutes Tracker:

As a parent, if you are looking for something different from the reading calendar, Jimmy John's created fun activity sheets that can help your child read and track goals through March. Please look through the options and find which ones that best fit your needs. You can contact Nicole Coffer at ncoffer@troy.k12.mi.us for more information.
